About the Role

BeInMedia, a company specializing in application development, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer / Mobile App Tester to join our team and contribute to ensuring the quality of our iOS and Android applications before they reach our users.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily App Testing: Conduct daily testing on the company's applications across both iOS and Android platforms.
• Comprehensive Test Execution: Execute Functional, UI/UX, Performance & Crash, and Device & OS Compatibility testing.
• Test Documentation: Draft and execute Test Plans and Test Cases for every new feature prior to release.
• Beta Build Testing: Test beta builds via TestFlight and Google Play Internal / Closed Testing prior to official deployment.
• Bug Reporting: File professional Bug Reports including: Steps to Reproduce, Expected vs. Actual results, proof screenshots/screen recordings, device & OS details, app version, and Severity/Priority classifications.
• Bug Lifecycle Management: Manage the full bug lifecycle from initial discovery through resolution, re-testing (Regression Testing), and verified closure in subsequent builds.
• Developer Collaboration: Follow up continuously with developers to ensure timely bug resolution and prevent issues from recurring.
• Release Readiness: Review every build before uploading to the App Store and Google Play, verifying release readiness and ensuring no crashes or blockers exist.
• Post-Launch Monitoring: Track live applications post-launch via monitoring tools (Crashlytics, Firebase, App Store Connect, Play Console) and report any user-facing issues.
• UX Feedback: Provide user experience (UX) feedback and propose actionable improvements.
• Test Management: Document all tests and results within designated Test Management systems.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 1 to 2+ years of practical experience in mobile application testing (iOS / Android).
• Testing Methodologies: Strong understanding of Manual Testing, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and Exploratory Testing.
• Bug Tracking Tools: Proficiency in bug tracking tools such as Jira, Trello, Notion, or GitHub Issues.
• Test Management Tools: Hands-on experience with TestRail, Zephyr, or equivalent test management platforms.
• Store Lifecycle Knowledge: Understanding of app deployment cycles on App Store Connect and Google Play Console (Internal Testing, TestFlight, Staged Rollout).
• Media Capture Skills: Ability to capture screen recordings and screenshots on iOS/Android and attach them systematically to bug reports.
• API Fundamentals: Understanding of API basics and API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Developer Tools: Basic knowledge of developer utilities (Xcode Console, Android Studio Logcat, Charles Proxy) to extract logs and network requests.
• Communication & Persistence: Excellent communication skills with the engineering team and persistent follow-up until bugs are closed.
• Personal Attributes: High attention to detail, patience, and a structured, methodical workflow.
• Languages: Native/Fluent Arabic speaker with good English skills (for technical documentation and technical communication).

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Automation Experience: Hands-on experience with test automation tools (Appium, XCUITest, Espresso).
• CI/CD Integration: Basic knowledge of CI/CD concepts and automated build testing (GitHub Actions, Fastlane, Bitrise).
• Crash & Performance Monitoring: Familiarity with tools such as Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry, and App Store Connect Analytics.
