About the Role

Mijad Technology is seeking a talented and driven Laravel Backend Developer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. You will focus on the development of all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database, while ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework.
  • Design and implement high-quality, reusable, and clean code.
  • Develop, integrate, and maintain optimized RESTful APIs for internal and external services.
  • Design and manage efficient MySQL database schemas, write optimized SQL queries, and ensure data integrity.
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and solve these issues through excellent debugging practices.
  • Collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and team members to deliver seamless user experiences.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven professional experience in web application development specifically using PHP and Laravel.
  • Database Management: Solid experience working with MySQL databases (query optimization, indexing, and relational database design).
  • API Development: Strong and deep knowledge of building and consuming RESTful APIs.
