About the Role:
We are looking for a Junior Security Specialist to support our cybersecurity team in protecting applications, networks, and infrastructure. This role is ideal for a proactive individual eager to develop hands-on security expertise while assisting in maintaining a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in monitoring, identifying, and responding to security threats and incidents
• Support the implementation of security controls across applications, networks, and cloud environments
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and report findings to senior security team members
• Assist in maintaining security tools, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions
• Help develop and update security policies, procedures, and documentation
• Support penetration testing activities and remediation follow-ups
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure software design and operations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• 0–2 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
• Basic knowledge of network security, application security, and cloud security principles
• Familiarity with common security frameworks and standards (e.g., OWASP Top 10, ISO 27001, GDPR)
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to learn quickly and operate under guidance from senior security staff
• Good communication skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to security tools such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners
• Basic understanding of secure coding practices and DevSecOps principles
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH) are a plus
