Job Purpose

The Direct Sales Representative is responsible for driving direct sales activities across government and corporate clients, with a focus on fast-moving deals (below USD 50,000).

This role requires strong client engagement, fast response times, and effective coordination with internal teams to ensure efficient opportunity closure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities within government and corporate sectors
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with end customers
  • Engage with clients through calls, emails, and meetings to understand their requirements
  • Manage sales opportunities from initial engagement through to deal closure
  • Use and maintain the CRM system (part of Oracle NetSuite ERP), including:
    • Updating customer contact information
    • Recording customer interests and requirements
    • Creating and managing opportunities
    • Tracking all sales activities and communications
  • Prepare and submit quotations in coordination with:
    • Pre-sales team (for technical validation and solution design)
    • Pricing team (for competitive pricing and margin alignment)
  • Follow up consistently with customers to:
    • Ensure timely responses
    • Drive deals toward closure
    • Maintain ongoing engagement and relationship continuity
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within approved guidelines
  • Ensure all deals are properly documented and recorded in the system

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in IT sales (preferred: HP, HPE, Dell, Lenovo, Aruba)
  • Strong understanding of IT products including servers, storage, networking, and end-user devices
  • Experience working with CRM systems (NetSuite or Oracle-based CRM is a plus)
  • Proven track record in closing sales and managing customer relationships
