Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially driven and strategically minded Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives, expand our client base, and strengthen Defendlab's presence in Syria and the region.
This role requires a balance between strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a strong focus on building relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving revenue across technology, cybersecurity, and digital transformation services.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across target sectors
- Build and execute sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
- Understand client needs and position Defendlab as a trusted advisory partner
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and solution discussions
Solution Positioning & Deal Execution
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to develop tailored proposals
- Translate complex technology and cybersecurity solutions into clear business value
- Lead commercial negotiations, pricing, and contract processes
Market Development & Intelligence
- Identify market opportunities within Syria and surrounding regions
- Monitor trends in cybersecurity, enterprise technology, and digital transformation
- Contribute to go-to-market strategies and service positioning
Partnership & Ecosystem Development
- Build relationships with partners, vendors, and industry stakeholders
- Support partnership-driven growth initiatives and joint opportunities
Qualifications & Experience

5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or consulting within:
- Technology services
- Cybersecurity
- Digital transformation
- Proven track record of generating and closing business opportunities
- Experience working with enterprise clients and/or regulated sectors

Strong understanding of:
- Cybersecurity and risk management
- Enterprise IT environments
- Digital transformation initiatives
- Existing professional network in Syria or the region is a strong advantage
- Willingness to work onsite in Damascus or Aleppo
- Fluency in English
