Job Description:
We are seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to design and optimize scalable ELT pipelines, structure IoT and behavioral data into analytics-ready models, and deliver high-impact insights that drive product and business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop end-to-end ELT pipelines for IoT, behavioral, and environmental data.
  • Build and maintain modular transformation workflows using dbt (or equivalent).
  • Structure raw device and user interaction data into clean, analytics-ready data models (fact/dimension schemas).
  • Define, compute, and maintain high-value metrics such as energy optimization indicators, equipment performance metrics, space utilization optimization, device health signals, and user engagement patterns.
  • Implement data quality validation, testing, and observability frameworks.
  • Design and build high-impact dashboards focused on actionable insights with minimal investigation effort.
  • Pre-compute insight-ready datasets to reduce dashboard complexity and improve decision speed.
  • Collaborate with product and UX teams to embed analytics into user-facing features.
  • Optimize analytical data storage and performance for scalability and cost efficiency.

  • Support near real-time analytics use cases where valuable.

  • Contribute to advanced analytics initiatives, including statistical modeling or ML-driven insight generation where relevant.


Candidate Requirements

  • Years of Experience Required: 3+ years
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

Language Requirements:
English (spoken and written).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in data engineering and analytics engineering with production systems.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling best practices.

  • Hands-on experience with dbt or similar data transformation frameworks.

  • Experience designing dimensional models (fact/dimension schemas).

  • Experience building production-grade dashboards (Metabase, Superset, Power BI, Looker, Tableau, etc.).

  • Experience working with large-scale, event-driven, or IoT datasets.

  • Familiarity with real-time or near real-time data processing frameworks.

  • Experience with cloud data platforms and modern data stack tools.

  • Background in statistical analysis or machine learning is a plus.

Any Other Requirements:
Experience in one or more of the following domains is a plus:

  • IoT or smart systems analytics

  • Event-driven architectures

  • Feature engineering for ML systems

  • Predictive analytics or anomaly detection
