Job Overview

We are looking for a talented Cybersecurity Engineer to protect our organization's computer systems and networks from cyber threats. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to security incidents. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining security policies, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems to safeguard our critical data.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Infrastructure Management: Design, configure, and manage security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) to ensure robust network protection.
• Risk Assessment & Analysis: Conduct regular security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities within the existing systems and infrastructure.
• Policy Implementation: Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive security policies, standards, and controls in alignment with industry best practices.
• Incident Response: Monitor security alerts and logs; lead the investigation and resolution of security breaches or suspicious activities.
• Vulnerability Management: Perform regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests; recommend and deploy mitigation strategies to address identified weaknesses.
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT operations, development, and cloud teams to ensure security is integrated into all stages of system deployment and software development.
• Security Awareness: Assist in educating internal teams on security awareness and compliance requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threat intelligence, and emerging attack vectors to proactively enhance our defensive capabilities.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related security operations role.

Technical Skills:

• Deep, practical knowledge of security technologies, including modern firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and SIEM tools.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing security policies and access controls.
• Solid understanding of risk analysis methodologies and vulnerability assessment frameworks.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, agile team environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or CISM.
• Experience with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, or NIST).
